About the Practice
Riverside Medical Practice is situated on the south west side of central Horsham and serves over 8,200 patients living within a 3 mile radius.
There is a small car park at the front of the building for surgery staff. Patients may park at the surgery ONLY if there is space - there is limited street parking available for patients. Nearby car parks include Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Blackhorse Way car parks.
There is a ramp at the side of the building leading to an automatic door for wheelchair and pushchair
This website has been developed to enable you to receive the best possible care from Riverside Medical Practice. We have a team of dedicated doctors and other health professionals available for your care. If you do have any problems or ideas for improvement, please do not hesitate to contact our Practice Manager.
Riverside Medical Practice sets measurable standards that take into account our responsibility for delivering national and local priorities in health care. These standards are reviewed regularly and we monitor our performance against the standards set, by clinical audits.
Riverside Medical Practice moved from the Health Centre (located on the Sainsbury site) to Worthing Road in 1994. The practice premises are a converted and extended double fronted Edwardian House.
There are currently 2 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Health Care Assistant, Practice & Business Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, Reception Supervisor and 13 administration staff who hold various positions within the practice.
As of April 2013, the practice formed part of Horsham and Mid-Sussex Consortium Commissioning Group (CCG).
Primary Care Network
In 2019 across the country, NHS England asked primary care to restructure how we provide general practice within towns and districts, so that we can combine our strengths, to work in collaboration with one and other, helping to maximise patient care.
The rationale behind this was to ensure a wider range of services are available to patients across a specific locality. Whilst GP surgeries remain independent, we are now working closely with 3 other surgeries within Horsham, to provide you with better healthcare opportunities.
The new arrangement was termed Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and Riverside Medical Practice has formed a PCN with Park Surgery, Holbrook Surgery and Orchard surgery, to become the Horsham Central PCN. Within our PCN, we have employed staff to work across all 4 sites to help combine and manage some of these services that we would like to develop for you. These staff members are listed below, and provide a huge wealth of resource within their specialist field.
